Overland Expo
Overland Expo in Mormon Lake about 30 minutes outside of Flagstaff, Arizona:
The world’s most unique event for do-it-yourself adventure travel enthusiasts, with hundreds of session-hours of classes for 4-wheel-drive and adventure motorcycling, inspirational programs, the Overland Film Festival, roundtable discussions, demonstrations, food, and large expo featuring 150 vendors of adventure travel equipment, camping gear, bikes vehicles and services.
We arrived on Friday and were surprised by the cold and rainy weather, it even snowed during the night. We were planning to camp at the site of the Expo but since all we have is a small tent, we decided to go for the Motel 6 in Flagstaff.
Good decision, because it turned out to be pretty bad the whole weekend with the exception of Sunday, when the sun finally came out, which really allowed us to enjoy the Expo.
We met many XPCamper owners doing the same thing we will be doing, so we had many questions to ask them. They were all so nice and they all seem to love their adventure lifestyle on the road.
